Kasms are Rachel-Mary Callaghan, Gemma Fleet, Scott R Walker and Rory Brattwell, they make melancholic yet frantic alt-punk and the singer has a habit of knocking over audience members and doing summersaults, how sweet.
KASMs met in October 2007 when the four band members got into a drunken row at a cash point in Dalston, it didn’t quite come to fisticuffs and details are vague and vary from person to person but it involved a bendy bus, a kebab and a pigeon. They then randomly bumped into each other a week later at a Get Hustle show and put our differences aside.
KASMS have since played shows across the UK, Europe and played a handfull of shows in New York, KASMS ae set to step things up a gear in 2009 with many more releases, videos and tours imminent.
They describe themselves as “Shriekbeat” and release their second single “Bone You” on February 9th and their debut Album April 2009 on Trouble Records.
